Texoma Challenge Cup
Five windward-leeward races. We will aim for at least two reverse starts. The
idea behind this event is to make a challenge between clubs or sailing teams
from within and outside Lake Texoma.
Lakefest
Traditional regatta in April. Lakefest is part of a fundraiser and usually
draws sailors from Texoma and beyond.
Margarita Sailing Festival
You guessed it right - an awesome excuse to sail and then share sailing stories
around the margarita blender. This is the event to invite all your non-sailoing
friends to attend. Courses will be set up to make it easy for everybody to
enjoy a fun regatta and still have some energy left for the night events.
Tame the Dragon
Two long distance races, both with a 1/4 mile downwind leg at the start. Day
1 - reverse start from A-C-H-Q-A. Day 2 - regular start from A-H-E-C-A. These
are tentative courses.
Solstice Regatta
Windward-Leeward races
Falling Star Regatta
Windward-leeward races that are a must if you want to be part of the group
that will stay on the lake to watch the annual Perseid meteor shower.
Cruising Rendezvous
Raft-up to watch the Perseid Meteor shower. The idea is to get as many boats
as possible to raft-up and become a tradition on the lake for each year’s
meteor shower.
Wunderlick
Long distance race. The most likely format for 2010 will be 100 miles for the
racing boats and 50 miles for the cruising fleet.
Mauri Pro Sailing Regatta
Serious racing on windward-leeward courses. Look forward to seeing teams from
outside the lake with great exposure for this event. This event will have
several One Design classes invited.
Texoma Race Week
2010 will be the inaugural event for Texoma Race Week. Our ambition is to hold
an event like Charleston Race Week. This fall event will serve as a stop
for boats heading to Key West or Miami for the winter regattas. This regatta
will be open to all keelboats and we are looking forward to having teams
from Chicago, New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana, and points beyond
