We are an inclusive group willing to share sailing knowledge and stories with everyone, as well as promote sailing activities in all their forms on the lake. It does not matter if it is a cruise rendezvous or a die-hard regatta… call us to have your event sponsored, promoted and supported.

Why the need for SAIL TEXOMA?

As of September 2009, there are almost 1,000 sailboats on Lake Texoma, yet very few go sailing on a regular basis. A typical race will only draw four or five entrants in the spinnaker division, and only a few more will race in the non-spinnaker class. That's not nearly enough participation considering the total number of boats.
Clubs on the lake are running their events the same way they were doing it ten years ago and participation has been going down year after year. Sail Texoma aims to bring new blood, new ideas and a new organizing body built around all calibers of sailors.
We want to propose new events, invite new sponsors and get sailors back on the water by addressing their concerns and fulfilling their needs.
